Ever
wonder what to do with your old cellular phone?
Phi
Mu Foundation has the answer for you!
Through Sprint Project Connect, donated wireless phones will be either
recycled or resold, with the proceeds benefiting charitable
organizations that serve people with disabilities.
Why should Phi Mus
donate their phones to Sprint?
Through an agreement reached with Phi Mu Foundation, Sprint
will donate free long distance minutes for the Foundation’s
phonathon September 22-26 from the Georgia Tech campus.
In addition, it is providing cell phones for the Theta Zeta
collegians to place the calls to donors, thus saving the Foundation a
great deal of money for connection of telephone lines and long
distance charges.
All Sprint asks in return
is that we spread the word
to encourage Phi Mus to turn in their unused wireless phones at any
Sprint cellular store. (Or
if you prefer you can send your phone(s) to the Foundation, attention

Sprint Project Connect
was launched in April 2002, the first nationwide campaign in support
of the Wireless Foundation’s Donate a Phone Return Outreach
Initiative – a new program designed to help wireless carriers raise
funds for their charities of choice through the collection of used
wireless phones. Marlee Matlin, award-winning actress currently seen
on television in “The West Wing” is the national spokesperson for Sprint
Project Connect.
Please encourage every Phi Mu and each Phi Mu chapter to
support this program. It
doesn’t cost a thing to take part!
